The elegant pieces I design and create are luxury with a twist. I like to leave unexpected and unique touches to each piece I design. For example, the blush colored credenza is actually covered in embossed faux alligator with a blush iridescent paint technique. The mint green mid century modern end table has pyramid stud details and gold arrow drawer pulls. All of my pieces are one of a kind and make a statement!
Here are examples of some funky modern pieces I have custom designed. I absolutely love unexpected pops of color. It gives a fun whimsical element to any space. For example, the Art Deco buffet in the third and fourth pictures features the before and after. It was fairly plain jane before, but with a bright white coat of paint and a cool clock face design...it becomes a cool modern statement piece. The interior was painted a lipstick red and the shelves and drawers were lined with different contrasting black and white fabrics for an unexpected surprise.
The bright red Mid Century Modern dresser pictured was custom designed for a client to place in her son's nursery. She wanted it to have a super hero theme. I painted it bright red, and customized a super hero logo featuring the little boys initial. The drawer pulls feature different superheros as well as the side panels of the drawers. So when I do custom pieces I definitely try to incorporate everything the client wants while making it look cohesive and unique.
I have to say...I have an obsession with the feminine blush color, sparkle, and intricate details. The vintage chair pictured was upholstered in a blush colored pearlescent faux leather ostrich fabric. The backrest of the chair has a jeweled vintage button for a hint of sparkle. The back of the chair also gets a touch of sparkle with a beautiful iridescent fabric.
The mirror/dresser pictured was just your average ordinary dresser. Well, I transformed it into a unique shabby chic style with a slightly modern twist. After painting and distressing it, I added a unique collage of drawer pulls in colors of blush, pale blue, and mercury glass for a unique statement.
Custom Interior Designs
This custom interior design was created for an Event Planner's office. She handles a lot of wedding events so she wanted a chic, luxurious space to meet clients and brides in. So, I wanted to incorporate different metallic elements with some feminine tones for an ultra luxurious feel.
The wall behind her desk features a mirror gallery wall for a grand statement with a custom designed jeweled deer skull for an added touch of whimsy. Her space was limited so I did not want to incorporate too many large furniture pieces. So, for her desk I found a modern campaign style and customized it with a faux marble top and a white base with gold accents. She wanted a beautiful chair also, so I upholstered it in a plum toned velvet fabric with a tufted jeweled button. The frame was painted a metallic champagne color, with a modern hematite colored sequin design on the back. The credenza was customized with an iridescent blush colored faux alligator leather and for an unexpected modern touch I added rose quartz and wood drawer pulls. She also wanted a beverage center for champagne and coffee and such so I created a metallic gold bar with nail head detail. The painting above her credenza was also custom created by myself just for the space. The lighting in the space was also a custom creation. It is a driftwood crystal chandelier for a organic glam element. To finish everything off, we added a collection of her accessories combined with new accessories, drapes, gorgeous throw pillows and some faux fur for a regal, glamorous, chic space she can be proud of.
I love to create custom personalized pieces to remember the special day.
